The Emotional Content of Felt Love”

    Our next Saturday Seminar on July 11th will be one of the most important and foundational teachings I have done in the 31 years of this healing ministry.  The topic is one both the Father and the Holy Spirit began to speak to me almost 30 years ago, but it has been evolving revelation and one which I have never felt released to fully teach on until recently!  Yet, with all my heart, I believe it is one of the most seminal and non-understood missing pieces to so much of deeply rooted emotional woundedness and its successful inner healing.  It deals directly with the emotional animation and energizing of the soul as virtually no other subject.  When it is lacking it is difficult to feel, receive or retain the sense of being loved, by either God or others.

    Our skeleton is what gives shape and form to our physical body and without it we would be only a shapeless mass of flesh, lacking definition; helpless and useless to function in life - a blob.  The Emotional Content of Felt Love is to our soul (especially the emotions, feelings, will and the screen of our imagination), what the skeleton is to our body.  Unless it is passed on in the womb we will struggle all of our life (apart from God’s healing intervention) with flat, ricocheting feelings and emotions, and any really secure feeling of being loved.  We may have such emotions as sadness and loneliness, anxiety and probably periodic depression, not having a sense of being rooted or belonging and a gnawing lack of safety and protection.  A sense of rejection will plague us and we will probably be performance bound, struggling to measure up, especially in the areas of significant relationships.  We will tend to be love hungry on a chronic basis.

    Does this describe you or people you know?  Have you struggled emotionally with feeling loved, even when you’ve often known intellectually that you are loved by others and God?  Is it difficult to receive and retain the feeling of being loved and affirmed when it is offered?  Felt love is a vital part of what parents are to pass on to their child in the womb, but they cannot pass on what they do not possess!  To some degree it is always a generational issue.  The principle is implied and affirmed throughout scripture that children are to love and honor their parents, and that reality must begin with the parents' love of the child.  Without this very basic heritage, we will suffer inwardly throughout life.   No matter how well we appear on the outside, we will be cursed inwardly with a silent scream for love, affirmation and fulfillment.  There will be a struggle in both giving and receiving love, which can create chronic spiritual and emotional problems.  We will have difficulty in appropriately and passionately relating to both God and others, as well as being a whole and balanced individual.

    This teaching is both designed to facilitate healing and to equip the Body of Christ to recognize these problems and help God’s children move towards healing and fully know who they really are in Christ.  This is what Jesus lived and died for!
